While the offensive line looks solidified now, other positions could and should be addressed. Linebacker is a middle-of-the-road need, but a position where improvements can be made. Smith will be a first-round pick, and he could be the first wide receiver drafted. There’s no denying his production, with over 1,800 yards and 23 touchdowns for the Crimson Tide last season and 37 touchdowns over his final two collegiate seasons. The lack of guaranteed money leaves next spring as a potential out for the team if it would like to transition to Love.
Even so, the Colts will still have plenty of suitors to trade back with if they need to. The New Orleans Saints (No. 28) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (No. 32) would be the two most likely scenarios while the Cleveland Browns (No. 26), Green Bay Packers (No. 29) and Buffalo Bills (No. 30) could also be looking to move up.
